Conservative Candidate wishes McFall well in retirement

Conservative Westminster candidate for West Dunbartonshire, Martyn McIntyre has wished local MP, John McFall well following his announcement that he will not be contesting the forthcoming general election.

Martyn said, “John McFall has been a good MP for West Dunbartonshire and I am sorry that he will not be contesting the coming general election.”

“His valuable work as Chairman of the Treasury Select Committee has been rightly recognised, particularly following the banking crisis.”

“I look forward to discovering who the local Labour Party will select as their candidate; but local people can be assured that as someone who was born and bred in the area and has been working hard as Conservative candidate for over two years now, I stand ready to serve the people of West Dunbartonshire as their MP if they elect me at the general election.”
